There are multiple reasons to give using online giving instead of envelopes:

4. Less overhead for the church, stamps, envelopes to send envelopes, better tracking.
5. Can be reached right from your parish website.
6. You do not need to worry about it while on vacations as well as your parish continue receiving your support to operate. 
7. It is seemless and one less duty to worry about.
8. You can use Credit Cards to gain poins/cash back/miles. 
9. If you write checks that bounce both the church and your account pays declined check fees. If you credit card is denied no extra fees are charged.
